These include the repair and replacement of roof coverings, joinery, windows, rainwater goods and associated decorative and structural elements. We also specialise in Lime Mortar. Simply put, lime compounds allow a building to breathe. They allow moisture to dissipate thus inhibiting damp and also accommodate a structure's need to move as it responds to changes in temperature and moisture. We have seen numerous buildings 'trapped' by modern cement renders which have simply sealed in moisture causing damp and aiding erosion of the original stonework and ultimately its structural integrity. We are happy to advise on the use of lime mortars, internal and external plasters and harling and pointing works. We always ensure correct preparation, material specification and application and works done will be in harmony with the original building.
